VEDRENNE, a brand with fruit expertise since 1923, is updating its liqueur range with a new bottle and refreshed packaging.
A NEW PACKAGING DESIGN
For its new bottle, VEDRENNE offers a retro design inspired by decorative art, manufactured in Burgundy just 40 km from its production site.
The new packaging was designed by a young designer, Alice Vallin. Each fruit, plant, or spice was hand-drawn by her, with the aim of highlighting the unique characteristics of each ingredient, reflecting the exclusive production process of VEDRENNE’s creams and liqueurs. As essential components in crafting liqueurs, the ingredients take center stage on this new label.
How is our iconic product, SUPERCASSIS, made?

To craft its iconic Supercassis, VEDRENNE primarily uses the renowned Noir de Bourgogne blackcurrant variety — the most aromatic in the world. Carefully selected, the blackcurrant berries are quickly transported to Nuits-Saint-Georges right after harvest.
Following the traditional recipe for Crème de Cassis from Burgundy, Supercassis uses a high proportion of blackcurrants during maceration. The production process is designed to respect the fruit and its fragility: the berries are macerated in alcohol in rotating stainless steel tanks, protected from light.
After pressing, the resulting infusions are sweetened exclusively with dry sugar — with no additives whatsoever, not even those permitted by law.
Creams or Liqueurs, what's the difference?
A liqueur is a spirit-based beverage made using various methods such as maceration, infusion, or distillation of fruits, plants, or spices. Its alcohol content ranges from 15% to 55%, and it must contain at least 100g of sugar per liter.
Creams, on the other hand, are fruit liqueurs with a higher sugar content. They must have a minimum alcohol content of 15%, and contain at least 250g of sugar per liter for a fruit cream, and 400g per liter for a Burgundy blackcurrant cream.
