A NEW LOOK FOR VERVEINE DU VELAY!
Since 1859, Verveine du Velay has embodied the art and know-how of distilling plants and spices. Created by Joseph Rumillet-Charretier, a visionary apothecary with a passion for herbalism, this liqueur quickly became an emblem of the Puy-en-Velay region in Haute-Loire. Today, we are proud to present our liqueur in a new light, while faithfully respecting the original recipe that has made it famous for so many years.

The new bottle, inspired by the PAGÈS brand archives, features a label adorned with a medallion specially created for the World’s Fair. The label combines vintage typography with modern trends, highlighting our rich heritage and commitment to quality.

A SECRET RECIPE
The exceptional quality of our liqueur is based on a meticulous production process:
Maceration : The plants and spices are infused in neutral alcohol for 9 months, allowing all the essential aromas of this liqueur to develop.
Distillation : The infusion is then distilled for several hours in Distillerie Pagès’ copper stills with water, alcohol and various ingredients. Under the effect of heat, the alcohol evaporates and the plants release their most subtle aromas.
Aging : Our herbal liqueur is then aged in oak barrels for at least 12 months before bottling.

Distillerie PAGÈS uses lemongrass verbena, grown in its own fields and certified 100% organic, to produce its herbal liqueurs. Planted in the June sunshine, verbena is harvested before the first frosts, dried in a dark place and delicately deseeded by hand to preserve all its aromatic qualities. Other plants, such as mace, juniper berries, genepi, star anise, cardamom, coriander, gentian root and thyme, form part of the Verveine du Velay blend. The exact recipe is a closely guarded secret of our cellar master.
HOW TO USE VERVEINE DU VELAY HERBAL LIQUEUR IN COCKTAILS?
PAGÈS herbal liqueur can be enjoyed as a digestif, neat or on the rocks, but also makes a great addition to original cocktails, such as Verbena Mule or Verbena Mojito.
